Introduction to Blocklist for Forms
Protecting your website’s forms from spammy submissions.
Blocklist for Forms is a WordPress plugin that blocks unwanted words in contact form submissions using your site’s existing WordPress Comment Disallowed Words list. Enable protection for the form plugins you use, and any submission containing a disallowed word is rejected before it reaches your inbox.
What Blocklist for Forms does
Section titled “What Blocklist for Forms does”Spam bots and low-effort submissions fill your inbox with the same tell-tale words, links and email addresses. Rather than bolting on a CAPTCHA or a third-party service, Blocklist for Forms checks each submission against a block list you control and quietly rejects anything that matches — before it is emailed or stored.

How it works
Section titled “How it works”- You choose which form plugins Blocklist for Forms protects on the settings page.
- You decide whether to block using WordPress’s comment disallowed words list, your own custom list, or both.
- Optionally, you add email addresses or domains to block.
- When a visitor submits a protected form, Blocklist for Forms inspects the content. If it contains a disallowed word, or comes from a blocked email or domain, the submission is rejected before it reaches you.
